I Continue to Wander in My Life

Last week, a trainee joined my company as a part of industrial training which all undergrads (includes me) needs to undergo when they took up my course. It was so co-incident that this gal is actually my junior back in my faculty. But wait, I never really saw her back that time, even though she claimed that she know who I was. My colleagues, upon hearing this claim, actually joked with me saying that when I was back in university, I was so popular in letting out electric wave that caught other heart. Well, I just laugh out loud on it, as I believe that it should be common for juniors to know their seniors when in university (ok, it is just my own assumption here).

Now, the question lies here now is, everyone in my company had started out this teasing thing that ask me to go after her. Well, I had to admit that she is quite a nice gals, very polite, and cute (if you want me to add it into her's resume). But, does that really mean that I need to go after her? I always put my love life to a certain level of fate. If we were fated to be together, then we will be. My stand, no doubt had received a lot of comments from my friends and colleagues, but I will always remains on it.

The real story actually starts here.....What I can conclude from here is, as the matter of fact, if I ever met a girl that I had interest in, I will never had the courage to show it off. Well, it sound like a coward, but I had to admit that I am. Being raised in a environment, where I didn't have the opportunity to mix with my opposite sex during my secondary school had made me a timid and shy guy when dealing with gals now. Most of the female friends I had now, is the type which is out-going type. What I meant here is these people are the one who started the conversation with me first, and the friendship just blossomed like that. If they never do so, then we won't have that kind of relationship now. I really wish to change my attitude on this matter, but I guessed that it will take a long time for me to do so.

But, judging from my life, do I really needs to have a life-partner? Everyone in the world should have, but for me, it is not a compulsary matter. I told my friends that if, by the age of 30, and I still remain single, I will never get married. Many of them laugh at this claim, but what they do not know is I really mean to do so. There is two reasons for me to do so. First, I didn't wish to end up like one of uncle. He got married late, and now, even after he retired, je still needs to support 3 children's education. Second, I can focus more in giving back to the society if I didn't have any attachment.

However, just like I said, GOD has plan for everyone of us. And I put my trust to HIM. Let fate decide whether I am destined to be single or to have a life-partner. No matter how I end up in the future, I will accept that decision.

A Horse That Spilt Out Grass

For everyone who heard about this title of this article, they might find it unfamiliar with it. However, just be prepared, because it won't be surprising if this sentence becomes a new proverb in the future.

I first come across this sentence last month, when there is an arguement happened between one of my close colleague with his superior. The matter that becomes the topic of arguement is, well......overtime claim. His superior seems to be blaming him for claiming so many OT in a month, but without taking into consideration why he did so. Just for the information, he is working in the warehouse department, and used to load products till very late, due to the late arrival of food carrier. The question that raises here is, why the food carrier came at such a late hour. Simple answer, the later, the cheaper.

Then, if the company do really want to save money by calling the carrier at such a late hour, why blame on others when they need to work till so late just to meet the company requirement? If the company is trying to block workers OT, then ask for an earlier carrier, then all the problem can be settled once and for all. However, the management refuses, as they said that is very expensive to do so. Getting complicated with the scenario now. This is the reason why the management had been branded with a title "a group of people who only know about addition and substraction, but don't know about multiplication and dividation".

Hence, the sentence (the title) appears in our proverb dictionary. A horse that spilt out grass. It refers to us as workers, which is being paid RM 1000 per month, but were required to work on a load of RM 1500 per month. This is what happened in the company now. For me, this scenario actually devalue us as a worker.

A Moment of Scare

Around 2pm just now, I went for lunch with my family at the most popular shopping complex with my family. The reason why we need to take our lunch there, even though the complex was like a sardine-in-a-can was due to helping a friend of my to conduct some survey.

Well, the scaring happened after we took our order, nicely having our meal, and the fire alarm just buzzed off. Everyone in the restaurant was confused, looking at each other, blurred with waht had actually happened. No one left their seat, and keep on wondering what-the-hell is going on. The alarm rang for almost 5 minuts before it gradually died off.

It might be someone accidently banged into one of the devices, which struck the alarm. However, when such a thing happened, what was one my mind was, "another terrorism attack??" It is not surprising to have that mentality, since this incident did happened in one of the state not long ago.

Perhaps, as long as the terrorism act still wandering around in any corner around the world, we do have the right to fear for the worst when such incident occurred.

Let's Talk About Company's Loyalty

The coming of May is indeed very significant to some of my friends. Some of them, which I think I should said 2 of them, should be reporting to their new company by tommorrow. Quiting their first job, then getting a new and a better one (perhaps), is something everyone is looking for.

The first reason that I usually asked them was, what was thereason for them to quit their job, and they just said that they were not happy working in that company due to the management. Whether earning cames into paly, I really don't know. (which I guessed, it does play a significant role here).

So, talking about company's loyalty here, I am just sharing some of the idea from my friend's blog regarding this issue. Staying in a company for a long time, does that consider loyal to that company? For the older generation, they might had that kind of thinking, since they are being accepted into the company for such a long time, and there somehow or rather had the mentality of "Hey, I need to work hard for the sake of the company, since they give me an opportunity to work there..."

However, does that apply to the generation nowadays. When we are talking about the idea of building k-workers, what a company need to do is to constantly provide a room of gaining new knowledge to their workers, by so building the sense of loyalty among their workers. Well, this is of course one of the ways to keep their asset in their company. If they failed to do so, why should we stay put in that company and left to rot? It will only tainted our resume in the future.

Then speaking of salary point of view. Well, since company always demand for loyalty, they should not only talk about it, they should show it as well. What is important to the workers is to earn more money for a better life. So, by provide extra incentives, bonuses and better increments, it gives the workers an idea of the company cares for their lifestyles as well. So, this is where the loyalty is being built. There is no point of forcing workers to work so hard, but not sharing the profit with workers, or given a less salary, but overload them with so many jobs. If such a scenario happened, I guess most people will just turn their head to the next door which offer them a better wellfare.

I had a phone conversation with my friend last Saturday. A friend which I had not been in contact for nearly 6 months. She called me, thinking that I will be in KL for the coming holiday. So, we had a chat, and I begin telling her what I situation is currently. It is not wrong to say that I am not happy with my work. Well, I dare to say so because currently, I was forced to work like nobody had ever work before. Imagine that someone is being force to work for 7 days per week, and being paid at such a rate. What makes thing worse was, I had to do two people job with only 1 pay. So, if you were to say that I am loyal to my company, I can only say that you are simply wrong. It is because the management does not care about people wellfare. What makes me stay put for 1 year till date is the experiences I have yet to gain.
