We live in a political life
I remembered when I was still in my Form 6 5 years ago, the General Paper, or Pengajian Am in Malay (or better known as P.A.) was the most stressful lesson I had to endure during the two years. I can't blame the paper alone, because the paper was quite an interesting paper to me. What made me so stressful was I had a teacher, who really liked to torture us by forcing us to remember all the points each times she entered class. Failing to do so, we were resulted to stand up as a punishment. It sound quite childish being punised like that that moment. However, I later thanked her, because due to that special treatment, I managed to score my only distinction in the final through that paper. So, what's really interest me in that paper were it teaches us all the things about our contry's politisc, how a country was being ruled, and how this and that about politics. What the funny parts here was my teacher actually told us once that we shouldn't get involved in any politics once we stepped out from school. The serious note here was the is such a rule that forbid us to get involved in politic when we were still in school, even when we were still studying in university. What a amusing thing to be said. If we were really being prohibited in doing so, why oh why in the first place, we were being taught of the roots of the politics, and then was only being prohibited. What was the purpose of the P.A. paper then? To make us understand our country better? Or maybe just yet another easy paper to help us to get a better grade in our final? I think we deserved an explaination from our Education Ministry regarding this matter. Yet, even though students, particulary in university level suffered from the same prohibition, why we were still being made to vote for our student's council. I still remembered there was a case when a senior of mine was nearly being expelled after being caught involved in a politic campaign. However, when it came to student's council, why university allowed such a campaign to take place? Where is the logic here? If they really had a intention to stop us from involving in any politics at all, then stop that malfunction, I-don't-know-the-reasons-why student's council voting once and for all. However, we don't really can avoid politics in our life at all. From days to days, when we opened up our daily paper, politics are everywhere. So, it is difficult to avoid such an issue in our life. For them who don't really understand politics, I advice them to look into their company themelve to get a better idea what politics is all about. In a company, there is a type of politic exist, which I named it office politic. People might find it funny about this matter, but for me. The reason why I said so was because I witness it by myself that this so-called office politic is much similiar to the real world politic.Let's just name some of the characteristic of the real politics here. In the politics, we often see people from diffferent political background satbbing each other at their backs, then spreading gossips which is not true to others in order to make others disliked one person, in order to frame them and let them being kicked off from the politics, and a switch of condemning your superior who used to be very good to you, after your superior was being butted. All such characteristics were seen in my company. So far, it had caused one of my colleague to quit his job, due to the pressure and frames being lament at him. I was wondering who is the next victims to fall in the hand of two ladies there. I was indeed lucky in the sense that my department was an independent department, where it did not directly related to the admin department. But as I told my other colleagues, this office politics is a kind of sickness which will spread to every department sooner or later. I hope that it won't happen, because if it does, I will not going to be the one who suffer it, but those people who begin such an act will. I do dare to say so, because if they ever stepped into my life and try to makes thing miserable to me, I won't be sitting back, but will launch an offensive moves instead.
It Keeps on Coming Back to My Mind
Well, tommorrow will be the day when all couples celebrate Valentine. While others, who are attached with a partner will be busy going for romantic dinner, spending their time with their loved one, presenting Valentine's gift to their respective partner, I will be sitting in my office, counting for the clock to tick faster in order for me to finished up my work soon.Well, I would be lying if I said that I didn't wish to have a partner. As the matter of fact, I do wish that I had a partner, who I can adore and care about. However, I am not in the desperate moment, where I had to begin searching for one soon, or even needed someone to introduce a girl to me (like what my mum was trying to hint me yesterday). For me, I always believe that when the moment comes, it is hard for you to avoid it. However, if you didn't treasure it, then you will lose it. For the past three years, I had been spending my Valentine with some of my best buddy back in uni. Hey, don't misunderstood for it. Well, it was so happen that my Birthday actually falls on the day after Valentine. As a tradition, we used to celebrate people's birthday a day before the real day, so that's how my Valentine has been. Some of my friends, who were attached in a relationship that time would also came by and celebrate my birthday with me. It really made me felt happy during the past three years. My birthday this year will never be such exciting as the past three years. Apart from the coming meals tommorrow with my family members, I will be spending my birthday working in my factory, joking with my colleague, and perhaps I will still get some tuning from my manager. Well, I forcast that that's how I will be spending my birthday the coming Wednesday. However, all those memories that I had with my friends during those days were the most treasured things that I had while I was still studying. I always wonder why I keep on thinking back of those memories, when other will tend to forget about them after a certain time. I guess that there are only two possibilities for this explaination. It is either those memories were so important to me that I had actually keep it in a very special place in my mind. Or, like what my friends said, I had been leading a very boring life, that I need all these memories to bring me through the dull moments.Well, I guess, no matter what the reason is, I still considered myself lucky that I am able to have three wonderfull birthday in my life. When I think so, I wouldn't be mind whether my coming birthday will be an interesting one or not.
A Shocking News on the First Day of Work.
I was a bit shocked when I resumed my work yesterday morning. Apart from the daily lectures from my Manager, the news that caught my attention the most was a workers, who had committed suicide on the first day of my factory off day.No, I was not trying to be a busybody here. As the matter of fact, I didn't really know the victim well. All these well, our relation was just between colleague, regarding the same job scope. The thing that really left me a bit moved was she was actually one of the many workers that wishes me happy new year when I was about to take off from my company last Friday. I wouldn't have imagine that that was probably the first and the last time I ever got contacted with her.Her suicide had created quite a number of speculations among the factory workers here. For me, I couldn't be bordered with all these speculations. What she had done in the beginning was wrong (committing suicides). However, since she had already depart from this world, I guess that that poor lady needs a peaceful departure. This case really put me again in an argument corner. For me, I am really against people from committing suicides. From my point of view, I think that those people who commit suicide were just too selfish. When there are innocent people around the world wishes that they could have a longer life, these people simply took away the sacred life given to them. Instead of spending their life preciously, they just simply gave away theirs. However, if you think properly, I guess that in this world, none of us would say that life is not important to them. Perhaps, those suiciders had reached the limits of their nerves and falls into deep depression. And from the moment of depressions till their suicides, I guess that their mind was not rationally stable during that period. So, we couldn't really blame them for what they had done. I guess that when they are in their most depress moment, if there was a person who are willing to step in and guide them, I guess that they won't resolve into taking suicide as an option in their route. But then, human relationships are sometimes very complicated. All of the victims close colleagues didn't see it coming on the last day of work. Everything is fine after working day, without any strange behaviours, words or acts that gives someone the impression that she will be committing suicide. Or maybe there is indeed some hint that a suicide would take place, but none actually pay attention on it.Perhaps, we, as human needs to pay a little more attention to the people around us in order to make our relationship less complicated. Then, perhaps, we can be a little more helpful in helping out others when they are in need of our help......"I pray for the suicider, may her soul rest in peace".....
The Post-New Year Scenario
After the past few days of celebrating CNY, I guess that it is time to get my feet back on the ground. No, no.....I haven't resume back to my work, as I will only do so next Monday. However, I had know what is awaiting me when I starts working next week. So, my activities today were not really a pleasant one. I began my day by getting myself to a near by post office to settle up some of my house's bills. And upon reaching that office, I was quite shocking to find that the queue was so long. I began to wonder whether that was an effect of a long holiday breaks, or it is simply just human nature to delay thei payment till the eleven hours. Nevetheless, I patiently waited for my turn, which took me about half an hour before it reached my turn to settle up those bills. The next stop, I rushed to a bank to deposit some of my New Year earning and some of my bonus remaining. I always wish to save some of my money into that bank account before it was being terminated for being inactive. So, when I reached that bank, it was a little too late, as all the counter is preparing to close down to make way to the Friday prayer. However, it was lucky that the bank provide a cash deposit machine. So, I just chuck all the money I wish to save into the bank and Ta--dah........I got it deposited. After doing so, I went to a nearby shopping complex to purchase a badminton racquet, which I had longed for. Lady luck was not really kind to me, as I couldn't find a shop which provide netting service to my racquet (I just bought a racquet which enquire me to do my own netting on the frame). Failing to do so, I decided to go back to my own house to have a good rest. The lousy bus service could well summarise my unpleasant day, when I was forced to make my way back with my feet, when I couldn't get a bus. I hardly see it as surprising, as I had given up hope on my state's bus service. So, I walked home under a hot sun for nearly 40 minutes before I stepped into the paradise....my home...So, what an ending for the new year holiday. Even though I am still into my holiday, most people had resume their job, which makes the hoilday mood in me a little bit dampen. Oh yes......I got a message from my friend while I was making my way home, asking for advices regarding job switching. So, we might just have a one week short holidays, and yet so many things had change after that.
